Being avid skiers throughout all of Colorado, Jeff and Julie Streeter created this business after having children and realizing they needed quality snow gear to keep their kids warm and dry. Bringing them along on skiing outings was part of their lifestyle and Jeff began engineering a harness for his youngest son who was learning to ski, so he wouldn't have to continually bend over to pick him up after every fall. This sparked the first idea that would lead to the start of Jeff and Julie's new business. He added a safety handle to the harness and it worked too well. They knew they had something that could work well and make a difference in the industry. Their harness with the safety handle began making its way on all the larger market resorts in Colorado and the business started taking off. From there they started up their Lucky Bums brand and began outfitting all recreation markets with products designed for kids to use while hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, and all outdoor activities. Today, Lucky Bums is a trusted company sought out by active parents around the world. Their products are sold in over 2000 stores and can be ordered from many online retailers.
